My perm hair care routine

Hello everyone!
Today, I'm going to share with you how I take care of my hair after digital perm.
For those who have no idea what is a digital perm, according to google,
A digital perm is a perm that uses hot rods with the temperature regulated by a machine with a digital display, hence the name.
After getting the perm, my hair has been really dry for the 1st few days.
I decided to purchase this set of expensive shampoo and conditioner.

I have always wanted to try Organix shampoo because they seem to be so nice!!!
So, I decided to head over to the nearest Watsons to get the shampoo and conditioner before my first wash after perm. I wanted to get the Macadamia oil however, the Watsons I went only left with this 2.

Anyway, after using up the whole bottle I really feel a different with my hair!
My hair become really really soft after using the Argan oil of morocco shampoo and it feel so clean. Although my hair is dry and damage to start with, I can definitely feel a different after using the shampoo. It feel like my hair has absorb all the nutrients and restore back to the healthy state.

Their cherry blossom ginseng conditioner smell really good! It smell really sweet and nice. Totally don't feel like washing off the conditioner because of the smell. I usually wash off my conditioner with cold water, so I have no idea is it because of that or the conditioner itself that make my hair feel extra smooth after washing.

The most important is even after I air dry my hair without any products or oils, they feel nice and shiny!
However, the shampoo and conditioner are really expensive. I'm using back my old shampoo and conditioner. Not too bad but I can definitely feel the different between normal shampoo and organix shampoo.

Definitely recommend this after you have chemically treated your hair and want it to stay healthy at least for the 1st few wash!

Normally, I am lazy to put any products on my hair. However after I perm my hair I began to really take good care and spam all the oils and products to make my hair stay healthy.
Usually I will use my Argan oil from L'oreal on my hair tip to make it less fizzy. I gotten this styling oil from Avines. I got this from my local salon for $31. I really like how it's an oil and make my curl really define. I never use any styling products other than this oil. I can get really define and nice curl.

Because that Avines oil is quite expensive, I'm trying to find an alternative and currently using this sea salt spray from Toni & Guy. This spray really give off a beachy waves and textures to the hair however it doesn't give much define to my curls.
Still trying to find other better alternative products. Any recommendation?

Trying this hair vitamin from ellipse longgggg time ago.
I manage to find it at my makeup tools box. Haha!
I don't like the smell of the oils but oh well, trying to finish using it!

Before my perm, I never put any products on my hair during the night time.
So after that, I began to use some products to maintain the "healthiness" of my hair.
Essential damage care series is definitely my favourite drugstore hair products!
They are cheap and good and most importantly, they WORK!

As for the L'oreal Extraordinary oil does not belong to me. ;x
I don't use it everyday because this belong to my sister. I really like this oil. It's not sticky and smell nice. Usually i will use either 1 of the product before I blow dry my hair.
Most of the time my hair will dry nicely.
Finally some products that were highly raves by many bloggers that actually works!

I just found out about this product recently and oh my gosh it feel so nice after using it!!!
This is the Marc Anthony Repairing Macadamia Oil Deep Healing conditioning treatment.
You can use this product from the roots of your hair all the way to the tips. Leaving it for 3 to 7 minutes and wash it off.

Totally have the "clean" finish and smell very nice after that! However, you can only use this product once a week and it's quite expensive. SGD$4 for 1 satchel. But if you really want to deep cleanse your hair, I will highly recommend this!

I guess that's the end of my hair care routine for my hair perm.
Other than that, I don't think there's anything special about it.
Just thought of sharing some of my new found hair products because normally I don't pay attention to it and just use the cheapest or most value for money products.

Anyway, it's back to the "economic" hair products now.. HAHAHA
Jobless girl is poor :(

Till then,
xoxo everyone!

  1. Did your perm loose it's curls or structure when you used the organix brand? The salon I got my perm from told me not to use organix morraccon oil and Argan oil conditioner because it was too heavy and may pull my curls out. And I purchased the thick and strong with biotin and collagen for the shampoo. It stated on the bottle for all hair types. I bought these prior to getting perm done bc I figured after the chemicals it would need those nutrients. I didn't have the digital perms, just the cold rollers that get washed out and treated over and over again lol I love the wave I have gotten from the perm so far, but I am now on the third day nand wanted to shampoo my hair. After looking at e bottle of shampoo I purchased from them, I noticed there was sodium laurel sulfate as the second ingredient and that was bothersome to me. I don't need anymore Chemicals in my hair and I don't feel comfortable using it. The salon is closed for the next two days and I pay 13 bucks for the shampoo and the same for the conditioner. I don't know if it is somethings I can return. I am hoping they will attest let me purchase their other brand products. I bought LOMa through them last time and they are organic, so I didn't bother to look at the matrix label. I assumed that they only sold chemical free product that were healthy for your hair. I really loved the LOMA product. And, like you, I love organix. I used it a lot years ago and stayed away because, like you, I purchase items that are easier on my wallet. So, I was excited when I bought my organix concoction. I just know I we'd to shampoo and wash hair and I don't want to put their shampoo in my hair bc of that chemical and I saw a couple reviews from people who had perms done and used the matrix product and they said their hair felt dry and funny and they did not like it. I would feel more comfortable with th organix on my first wash because my hair is so exhausted and broke down from th chemical treatments. What do you think? Do you have experience with this? Or any suggestions? This issue first perm and I want it to last and I want to make sure I am putting the right products into my hair.
